Gambhir calls for fairer balance between bat and ball after India loss

India scored 249, but the West Indies reached the target and won by six wickets.

Fast bowler Mayank Yadav took three wickets, though he also conceded 36 runs in three overs.

Coach Gautam Gambhir said matches should be judged across all 40 overs, not by one over.

He also called for pitches that give batters and bowlers a fair contest, saying bowlers’ careers are at stake too.
