Jio Platforms IPO may raise up to ₹30,213 crore

Jio Platforms, the telecom and digital services business led by Mukesh Ambani, is preparing to sell shares to the public in India.

Reports say the price may be ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, and the offer could raise up to ₹30,213 crore.

The proposed sale would consist of new shares, rather than existing investors selling their holdings.

Jio plans to use much of the money to repay debt linked to its telecom subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm, and the rest for general corporate purposes.

The listing could become India’s largest IPO, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s 2024 offering.

It would also give investors a clearer market valuation of Jio’s telecom and digital businesses.

Anchor investors are expected to be offered shares from October 19, public subscriptions are planned for October 21 to 23, and trading may begin on October 28.

Jio has not officially confirmed the price range or schedule, and the reported details could change.
