Singareni training helps 112 local youth secure jobs
Singareni Collieries has helped 112 young people from areas affected by its coal mines get jobs through skills training in Telangana.
Of these, 87 women were selected for work at Foxconn’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, where they will work in sections assembling Apple EarPods and electronic components.
The first group of 55 women left Godavarikhani for Hyderabad on Sunday.
Another 25 candidates trained as Solar Technicians were selected for jobs with L&T and are expected to join within 10 days.
The selections followed interviews held at Singareni’s skill development centre in Ramagundam.
