Students to visit Seoul industry event for semiconductor and future-car training
South Korea’s Education Ministry and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology will hold a student event at Seoul’s COEX from October 14 to 16.
It is for students in training camps focused on advanced industries, including semiconductors and future cars.
The camps are run jointly by universities and companies and provide intensive training lasting no more than a year.
This year, the government supports 88 universities across eight fields, including 28 in semiconductors and four in future cars.
Students will visit an event where companies are gathered to experience industry work and improve their employment skills.
In previous years, companies visited events attended by students; this year, students are going to the companies.
The ministry said it hopes the event will help prepare students to support growth and innovation in the semiconductor and future-car industries.
