Brazil regulator bars biodiesel sales between distributors for two years

Brazil’s fuel regulator has renewed a ban on distributors selling biodiesel to one another for two years.

The agency says these sales made it harder to track biodiesel used in diesel fuel.

It says an earlier ban simplified fuel movements without harming supply.

Better tracking can help regulators spot inconsistencies and monitor fuel quality.
