Gigabyte updates B760 and H610 boards for expected Intel CPUs
Gigabyte has released BIOS updates for its B760 and H610 motherboards to prepare them for new Intel desktop processors expected in early 2027.
The processors are intended for Intel’s LGA 1700 platform, which is already used by those motherboards.
Gigabyte says owners of supported boards will be able to install a BIOS update to use the new CPUs without replacing their motherboard.
The updates cover boards that use either DDR4 or DDR5 memory.
This could give people with existing systems a way to upgrade without changing their memory, too.
The chips are reportedly part of Intel’s Core 2000 series, but Intel has not confirmed their names or specifications.
The BIOS updates are available now, while the processors are expected to arrive in early 2027.
