New rail line raises Turkey’s high-speed rail network to 2,604 km
The new line connects Tekirdağ, Kırklareli and Edirne to Turkey’s high-speed rail network.
It brings the network to 2,604 kilometres and serves 14 provinces.
Transport Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu said the government aims to connect 27 provinces directly by high-speed rail by 2028.
The route also forms part of rail links between Turkey and Europe.
