Thousands march in London in support of Palestinians
Thousands of people marched through central London on 10 October to show support for Palestinians.
The demonstration came near the third anniversary of the start of the war in Gaza and called on the UK government to stop supplying arms to Israel.
A ceasefire was declared a year earlier, but Israeli airstrikes have continued, and the overall death toll in Gaza has risen by 1,400 over the past year.
Attacks by Israeli settlers have also increased in the West Bank, where UN figures say Israeli forces and settlers killed 230 Palestinians in 2025.
Some organisations, including the UN, have said Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The Metropolitan police said 20 people were arrested, including over alleged criminal damage and placards expressing support for Palestine Action, a proscribed organisation.
The march continued to Whitehall, where a rally was planned.
