Indra and Spain’s technology agency invest €19.6 million in Qilimanjaro

Catalan startup Qilimanjaro raised €19.6 million in a Series A funding round.

Indra Group is investing €10 million, while Spain’s Society for Technological Transformation, or SETT, is investing €9.6 million.

The company develops analog and digital quantum computers, a type of computing technology that uses quantum effects to process information.

Founded in 2019, Qilimanjaro has made quantum computers installed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

The new funding will help Qilimanjaro scale and industrialize its computers and advance its projects.

Indra says the investment will strengthen its capabilities in areas including defense, security, artificial intelligence and robotics.

The deal supports Indra’s wider expansion in Catalonia, where the company has said it aims to increase revenue and create skilled jobs before 2027.
