Sacyr hires Alantra to explore sale of its industrial engineering business

Spanish infrastructure group Sacyr has hired Alantra to advise on a possible sale of its industrial engineering business.

The business operates through Sacyr Proyecta, which works from offices in Madrid and Asturias.

It provides engineering and construction services, and has diversified from hydrocarbon projects into energy transition work.

Sacyr Proyecta serves outside clients, including Repsol, Enagás and Fluxys, and does not currently work for Sacyr.

The division has about €50 million in annual revenue and €14 million in EBITDA.

Based on comparable deals, its value could be between €100 million and €200 million, but Sacyr says no decision has been made.

The sale process has been launched, but no outcome or next step has been announced.
