Wembanyama backs French students protesting school conditions

Students across France are protesting problems such as teacher shortages, crowded classrooms and poor school buildings.

Victor Wembanyama, a French basketball star, said he supports them and wants leaders to listen.

He went to high school in Nanterre, where students held blockades, and said he understands some of their concerns.

The protests have also raised broader worries about inequality and the future of education.
