Crazy Rich Asians sequel confirmed as an eight-episode HBO series
The 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians is getting a sequel, but it will be a TV series rather than another movie.
The eight-episode series will air on HBO.
Constance Wu and Henry Golding are returning, along with Ronny Chieng and Michelle Yeoh.
The original film follows Rachel, an Asian-American woman who travels to Singapore to meet her boyfriend Nick’s wealthy family.
It was based on Kevin Kwan’s novel and earned more than $239 million worldwide.
Adele Lim, who co-wrote the film, will lead the series as showrunner and executive producer.
