PKB backs Prabowo for another presidential run in 2029
Indonesia’s PKB party says it supports President Prabowo Subianto running for president again in the 2029 election.
PKB deputy chairman Faisol Riza said Prabowo was fit to lead the country for a second term.
He pointed to programs introduced during Prabowo’s first two years, including free meals, health checks and schools for the public.
Faisol said the programs were being carried out despite some challenges.
Golkar had also endorsed Prabowo for 2029 before PKB did.
Golkar has not yet decided whom it would support as his vice-presidential running mate.
