Party divisions return after Italy’s electoral reform vote
Italy’s political parties voted together on an electoral reform, but their coalitions soon showed divisions again.
Parties disagree on issues including support for Ukraine, possible early elections and who should lead them.
The reform is meant to encourage parties to join coalitions, but those alliances may be difficult to hold together.
If no coalition wins 42% of the vote, the reform’s seat bonus would not apply.
