Bahia governor says voters expect more from Lula as he seeks support for runoff

Jerônimo Rodrigues won another term as governor of Bahia.

He said Lula’s past achievements no longer persuade some voters as strongly, and that people now expect more from him.

Rodrigues plans to work with allied mayors to win more votes for Lula in the runoff against Flávio Bolsonaro.

He said the campaign should address both democracy and national sovereignty, as well as everyday concerns such as food and housing.
