South Korean unions protest plans to merge and relocate public institutions
South Korea’s two major labor federations held a rally against plans to merge public institutions and move them to other parts of the country.
Union leaders say the changes could weaken public services and make workers’ jobs less secure.
They also question whether moving institutions can help regions facing population loss.
The unions plan to protest outside the National Assembly starting Oct.
12.
