McEnroe disputes Alcaraz’s criticism of the tennis schedule

Carlos Alcaraz says the tennis schedule is too demanding and may contribute to injuries.

John McEnroe disagrees, saying players in his era competed more often.

He also suggested today’s players have more choice about which tournaments to play.

The debate matters because players and tennis officials disagree over how to balance competition, money and time to rest.
