Brandon Sanderson’s Hoid’s Storybook Collection Reaches Backers
Brandon Sanderson’s Hoid’s Storybook Collection is being sent to people who supported its BackerKit campaign.
It includes The Fires of December, the third story in a series called Hoid’s Travails, as well as illustrated storybooks.
The novel follows December, a new character on a new planet in the Cosmere, a fictional universe shared by Sanderson’s books.
It is connected to earlier stories through Hoid, a recurring character who narrates it.
Three of the picture books expand stories told in Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive, and a fourth is an original story by writer Dan Wells.
Backers began receiving digital editions on September 15 and physical items on October 5; digital editions became available to other readers on October 6, and the standard physical edition is scheduled for December 8, 2026.
