Leonel Miranda scores as Berazategui reaches the Primera C final

Leonel Miranda scored a penalty in Berazategui’s 3-0 win over Cambaceres on October 12.

The result made Berazategui the winner of Zone A in Argentina’s Primera C, the country’s fourth tier.

The team finished with 51 points, one ahead of Sacachispas, and will face Luján, winner of the other zone, in the final.

Miranda is 32 and has played for both Avellaneda rivals, Independiente and Racing.

He also had spells with clubs including Houston Dynamo, Xolos de Tijuana, Defensa y Justicia, Tigre and Banfield.

After being without a club for the first half of 2026, he joined Berazategui, giving him another chance to continue his career.

His goal helped take the club one step from the Primera C title, though the final date is not stated.
