Tomi Adeyemi Cancels New York Comic Con Panel

Author Tomi Adeyemi canceled a New York Comic Con panel where she was due to promote her new book, “The Siren.”

The panel was scheduled for Oct.

10 at the Javits Center in New York.

It was removed from the schedule last month, but there was no public announcement before it was due to take place.

Adeyemi and the convention organizer did not publicly explain the cancellation in the information available.

Earlier this year, Adeyemi criticized the film adaptation of her novel “Children of Blood and Bone” and described the experience of making it as deeply distressing.

She said it made her reluctant to turn another novel into a film.

The adaptation is scheduled to reach theaters on Jan.

15.
