Brad Bird’s ‘Ray Gunn’ to Stream on Netflix on Dec. 18
Brad Bird’s animated film ‘Ray Gunn’ is a noir detective story set in a retro future.
It follows a detective in a world with a style inspired by the space-age future of ‘The Jetsons.’
Bird first imagined the film about 30 years ago, after hearing a song by The B-52s.
He says he did not pitch it to Pixar because he felt the project did not fit the studio’s usual audience.
He wanted to make an animated film aimed at teenagers and adults, rather than children.
