Missing older adult found dead in home cistern in Mexico City

An older adult who had been reported missing was found dead in a cistern at their home in Mexico City.

Neighbors said the person was last seen in December 2025, while the missing-person report was filed in September 2026.

Investigators have not said how the person ended up in the cistern or what caused the death.

Their findings may help explain what happened.
