Rafael Amargo and his partner detained after Madrid home altercation

Spanish dancer Rafael Amargo and his partner, Luciana Bongianino, were detained after a fight at their home in Carabanchel, a district of Madrid.

Police said a man entered the home early on Saturday after breaking a window, and the three were taken to a police station.

Amargo is accused of assaulting an officer and causing injuries to the man, while Bongianino is accused of causing injuries.

The man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, making threats and a property-related offence.

These are accusations, and police are investigating why he entered the home and whether he knew Amargo.

Amargo was acquitted in 2024 of a drug-related offence after a case that began with his arrest in 2020.

The current investigation concerns the events at the home.
