Angus Taylor joins Pauline Hanson at conservative conference in Brisbane
Liberal opposition leader Angus Taylor spoke at the Australian Conservative Political Action Conference in Brisbane.
It was the first time a sitting Liberal leader had attended the conference, which was once seen as further to the right than the Coalition’s mainstream.

The Liberals and Nationals have adopted more populist conservative policies, bringing them closer to themes championed at the gathering.
Attendees shared criticism of the Labor government and issues including net zero and school curriculums.
The conference raised a question for the Liberals: whether a wider conservative movement is forming or whether the party is losing its place at its centre.
