Federal prosecutors in Oaxaca report 262 convictions and major seizures
Mexico’s federal prosecutor, Ernestina Godoy, visited the federal prosecutor’s office in Oaxaca.
She said that so far this year the office has seized 307 firearms, 66 vehicles, 3,808 kilograms of drugs and more than 105,000 litres of fuel.
From December 2025 to September 2026, it secured 214 decisions sending cases to trial and 262 convictions for federal crimes in the state.
The cases included offenses involving firearms, drugs and the transport of undocumented people.
Godoy said investigations and prosecutions are intended to bring those responsible to justice and help make communities safer.
The office has also introduced a social support service to offer guidance and assistance, especially to victims.
Godoy said it would continue strengthening investigations and coordination with security agencies.
