Sri Kishore’s ‘The Grand Tribute’ begins filming in Hong Kong

Sri Kishore’s film “The Grand Tribute” is being filmed on location in Hong Kong.

It stars Law Kar-ying and Paw Hee-ching, with Sham Kaki, QBobo, Virginia Lau, Ahstisham Ahmad and Jayan Yvette C. Marquez also in the cast.

The story follows a Cantonese opera performer in his 70s who stages one last show as a farewell gesture of love for his terminally ill wife.

Law is himself an accomplished Cantonese opera performer, bringing real-life experience of the art form to the lead role.

The film combines Chinese opera drama with Indian-style music composed by Shravan Bharadwaj.

It is produced by Sri Kishore Film Productions Limited, with Sri Kishore and Dai Ming Tsui as producers.

The production is based in Hong Kong for the full shoot.
