Nadda assures full central support for flood-hit Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh, a state in India, had very heavy rain.
The rain caused floods and mudslides that damaged roads, bridges, homes and schools.
Sadly, eight people lost their lives, and more than 150,000 people were affected.
A government leader named JP Nadda visited the damaged areas to see what happened.
He promised that the central government of India would help rebuild houses and fix what was broken.
Nadda also met with the leader of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, to make a plan.
India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said the government stands firmly with the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Other leaders visited too and promised new houses for families whose homes were washed away.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda visited flood-affected Keyi Panyor district in Arunachal Pradesh and assured the Centre's full support for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
Flash floods and landslides triggered by heavy monsoon rain and localised cloudbursts have claimed eight lives across 28 districts, affecting an estimated 1,55,858 people.
Floodwaters breached a retaining wall and swept away around 15 to 18 residential quarters in the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) colony near Yazali.
Nadda held a review meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, ministers, MLAs and officials in Itanagar to expedite relief measures.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week assured five MPs from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland of central support, while Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan promised new houses for families whose homes were washed away.
