Jhabua Police Trace 94 Children as Panchayat Bypolls Scheduled
Jhabua police have been meeting people in markets and schools to teach them about safety and crime prevention.
These meetings have reached more than 56,000 people.
Police also found 94 children who had been reported missing.
Most of the children were girls.
Another programme taught more than 50,000 people how to avoid online scams.
A separate campaign warned over 61,000 people about the dangers of drug use.
Jhabua will also have elections for five empty local-government positions.
Voting for those positions will take place on September 29, 2026.
The nomination process will begin on September 8.
Jhabua district police organised 280 awareness programmes since May 19, reaching 56,856 people in markets and schools.
Operation Muskaan helped police trace 94 missing children between May 1 and August 31, including 89 girls and five boys.
Safe Click 2026 held 343 programmes for 50,205 people on suspicious links, APK files, OTP sharing and cyber fraud.
The Nasha Mukti campaign conducted 328 programmes, reaching 61,209 people across schools, colleges, hostels and markets.
Jhabua will hold by-elections for five vacant local posts on September 29, 2026, with nominations opening September 8.
