IIIT-Bangalore Team Qualifies for ICPC World Finals 2026 in Dubai
The ICPC is a huge competition where university students solve very hard computer programming puzzles, kind of like the Olympics but for coding.
A team of three students from IIIT-Bangalore in India did so well that they earned a spot in the world finals.
Their names are Anant Ojha, Adithya Sunil Kumar, and Shreyas Ghildiyal.
They practiced a lot with their teachers, Professor Muralidhara VN and Vivek Yadav.
The world finals will happen in Dubai, a big city in the United Arab Emirates, in November 2026.
In the contest, teams of three work together on one computer to solve tricky problems before time runs out.
This is the third time IIIT-Bangalore has made it to the world finals, after doing it in 2017 and 2018.
