ESFI announces Indian contingents for BRICS Esports Championship and GEG26
The Esports Federation of India is the group that picks video game players to represent India in competitions.
After a big national contest called the National Esports Championships ended on August 5, they chose players for two international events.
The first event is the BRICS Esports Championship, which will be held in Moscow from September 9 to 15.
India will send two players for the fighting game TEKKEN 8, named Arsalan Wani and Gurashish Singh.
The second event is the Global Esports Games in Los Angeles, where India will compete in several games.
These include Counter-Strike 2, Clash Royale, NBA 2K, Rocket League, iRacing, and eFootball.
A team called Diamond Dogs won the Counter-Strike 2 spot by beating Friedup Gaming in the final.
A leader named Lokesh Suji said these competitions help Indian esports players get better.
He said playing against the world's best prepares Team India for future events like the Asian Games.
The Esports Federation of India announced final contingents for the BRICS Esports Championship 2026 and the Global Esports Games (GEG26).
India will field a two-member TEKKEN 8 contingent, featuring national champion Arsalan Wani and Gurashish Singh, at the BRICS Esports Championship in Moscow from September 9–15.
The BRICS Esports Championship is organised by the Russian Esports Federation and will be held at the VK Play Arena in Moscow.
