Pune-Mumbai Students Earn International Mathematical Modelling Challenge Award

Four students from Pune and Mumbai worked together on a difficult mathematics project.

Their project used computer code, data, and simulations to study a problem.

They wrote more than 3,000 lines of code and prepared a detailed report.

Their team was one of India’s top two teams in the national competition.

This allowed them to represent India at an international challenge.

They competed against 68 teams from 37 countries.

The team finished among the top 11 teams and received a Meritorious Award.

They attended a ceremony in Boston and visited Harvard University and MIT.
