India Fresher Hiring Intent Rises to 75% in H2 2026
A company called TeamLease EdTech makes a report about how many companies in India want to hire new graduates.
The newest report says this number went up.
In the second half of 2026, about 75 out of 100 companies want to hire fresh graduates.
That is a little more than the 73 out of 100 in the first half of the year.
Shops and online shopping companies, plus technology start-ups, want to hire the most.
Factories and manufacturing companies also want to hire many new workers.
Some other fields, like IT and consulting, want to hire a little less than before.
Companies are looking for people with special skills, like building AI apps and designing semiconductors.
The report says courses like VLSI Chip Design and AI Engineering can help students get these jobs.
Jobs are most available in big cities, especially Bengaluru.

Retail and E-commerce & Technology Start-ups recorded the highest fresher hiring intent at 93% each, followed by Manufacturing at 89%.
IT hiring intent declined from 81% to 76%, while Consulting, Telecom, and Marketing & Advertising each saw a 3 percentage-point drop.
In-demand entry-level roles include AI Application Developer, Junior Semiconductor Design Engineer, and Data Centre Operations Associate.
Bengaluru led cities with a fresher hiring intent of 89%, followed by Mumbai at 75% and Chennai at 71%.
