Advocate Seeks Removal of Burial Sites from Bengaluru Kala Grama
Advocate Urges Burial Sites Be Shifted out of NSD Bengaluru Campus · deccanchronicle.com

An advocate wants some burial and cremation sites moved out of Kala Grama in Bengaluru.

Kala Grama was created for arts, culture and drama activities.

Several well-known Kannada figures are buried or cremated there.

The advocate says the government had already ordered that cremations should not take place at the site.

He says Salumarada Thimmakka was cremated or buried there even though that order was in force.

He worries that more families or followers may ask to use the land for final ceremonies.

He believes this could change the purpose of Kala Grama.

He has asked the Kannada and Culture Minister to address the issue.
