CPM urges Centre to delink Women's Reservation Bill from delimitation

There is a special law called the Women's Reservation Bill that would set aside seats in politics for women.

A political group called the CPM says this bill should be discussed all by itself.

The CPM is worried it is being mixed up with another bill about delimitation, which decides how voting areas are drawn.

The CPM says all Opposition parties would happily support the women's bill if it were presented alone.

It thinks the ruling BJP is mixing the two bills on purpose to blame the Opposition for delays.

The CPM also asked the government to talk to all political parties before changing voting maps.

CPM leaders also spoke about student protests in Delhi, saying the police used too much force.

They asked home minister Amit Shah to talk about it in Parliament and to protect students' rights.

They also asked the Andhra Pradesh government to prove how many jobs it created and to help tobacco farmers.
