Guru Purnima 2026 Celebrations Announced

Guru Purnima is a special day celebrated by Hindu, Jain, Sikh, and Buddhist communities to thank their teachers and spiritual guides.

It falls on the full moon day of the Shakha Samvat, according to the Hindu calendar.

This year, it will be on July 29, 2026.

People celebrate by sharing wishes, messages, and quotes with their gurus.

Some follow traditional methods like rituals and prayers, while others use modern ways like sending digital greetings and posting on social media.

It's a day to remember and honor those who have guided and taught us.

The day also marks significant historical events like Lord Buddha's first sermon, the birth anniversary of Maharishi Ved Vyasa, and Lord Mahavira's acceptance of Gautam Swami as his first disciple.
