Nepal's Chief Justice Visits India

Nepal's Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma is visiting India for five days.

He went to New Delhi on July 25, 2024, at the invitation of India's Chief Justice Surya Kant.

The visit is to make the judiciary of both countries work better together.

The Chief Justice of Nepal will visit the Supreme Court of India and meet with important people.

This is not the first time such visits have happened.

Last year, Nepal's former Chief Justice went to India for a ceremony.

Earlier, India's Chief Justice visited Nepal for a big meeting about law and justice.

In April 2025, both countries signed an agreement to make their judiciaries work better together.

Some people might think these visits are good for friendship, but others might worry about judicial independence.
