Kargil Opens Passport Seva Kendra, Easing Access for Residents
Kargil now has a new centre that helps people with passport services.
It is located in the remote Ladakh region.
The centre opened on September 2, 2026.

Before this, some residents had to travel to Leh or Srinagar for passport work.
