Sion Hospital to Introduce Digital Payment Facilities for Medical Services
A hospital in Mumbai called Sion Hospital is getting a new way to pay.
Right now, patients sometimes have to wait in long queues to pay for things like X-rays and MRI scans.
Soon, they will be able to pay with cards or digital methods instead of cash.
A city official named Prajakta Verma Lavangare visited the hospital and asked them to set up payment machines.
She also asked for a special counter just for digital payments.
This will make it faster and easier for patients and their families.
The official also checked the hospital's new buildings and emergency ward.
She asked for clean footpaths and relaxing spaces for patients and staff.
The hospital will also use a computer system to manage information better.
All these changes are meant to make visits to the hospital more comfortable for everyone.
Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Sion will soon offer digital payment facilities for OPD case papers, X-rays, MRI scans and other charges.
Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Prajakta Verma Lavangare directed the installation of POS machines and a separate counter for digital payments.
The move is intended to reduce queues and inconvenience for patients and their relatives.
Lavangare inspected the ongoing capacity augmentation project, visiting the emergency department, wards, MICU, CCTV control room, Main Hospital Building Phase 2A and the Oncology Building.
She also directed effective implementation of the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and called for obstruction-free footpaths, recreational spaces, CCTV monitoring, cleanliness, staff uniforms and measures against rodents and stray dogs.
