Ex-Mayor Kishori Pednekar Flags Hygiene Issues at Sion Hospital

Kishori Pednekar, a former Mumbai mayor, visited Sion Hospital without giving advance notice.

She said people had complained about the hospital’s conditions.

According to her, garbage had remained uncleared for several days.

She said worms and insects were appearing near the waste.

She also said the hospital did not have some important facilities working properly.

One sanitary pad machine allegedly took money but did not provide a pad.

Pednekar pointed to areas she said could allow mosquitoes to breed.

She called on authorities to pay more attention to cleanliness and safety.
