Scholar Calls for Urgent Documentation of Marathwada’s Distinct Dialect
Dr Sushil Dhaskate spoke about the special way people in Marathwada speak Marathi.
He said this dialect was once considered the standard form of Marathi.
He believes another version of Marathi later became the standard.
He said this has made the Marathwadi dialect weaker and less visible.
