Good Governance and Education Key to Viksit Bharat by 2047
Manoj Dixit said India’s goal of becoming a developed country by 2047 needs more than a stronger economy.
He said people also need good education, useful research and responsible government.
He explained that citizens, universities and students all have an important part to play.
He also said rural areas, farming, jobs, women’s empowerment and the environment should receive attention.
Young people were described as an important strength for the country.
Pravin Wakte said India’s old knowledge traditions remain important.
He added that artificial intelligence and digital technology create new opportunities.
He said young people must use these technologies responsibly and with good values.
The ideas were discussed at a university seminar attended by 240 participants.
Former BAMU Vice-Chancellor Manoj Dixit said developed India requires more than economic growth.
He highlighted knowledge, quality education, research, good governance, inclusion and environmental sustainability.
Dixit called Viksit Bharat a national mission requiring citizen participation, not merely a government programme.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Pravin Wakte said technology should be combined with ethical values and modern skills.
The two-day seminar at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University involved 240 students, researchers and teachers.
