Indigo Paints is a company that makes paint for homes and buildings.

Imagine you run a lemonade stand — selling more lemonade means you earn more money.

Indigo Paints sold much more this year than it did at the same time last year.

Its profit went up by 60 percent, reaching about Rs 41.7 crore.

The money it earned from selling paint also went up by 20 percent.

However, compared with the previous three months, the company made 30 percent less profit.

That happened partly because the materials needed to make paint cost more, and the company had extra paint stored away.

One of its smaller companies, Apple Chemie India, grew by about 40 percent.

Even with these challenges, Indigo Paints still made a healthy profit margin of about 17 percent before interest and taxes.

Overall, the company grew a lot compared with last year, even though the most recent quarter was a bit tougher.
