Robibarer Barbela Revives Kolkata’s Nostalgic Live Audio Stage Drama

Robibarer Barbela is a new live storytelling event in Kolkata.

It will bring back the feeling of listening to dramatic stories on a Sunday afternoon.

The first show will feature Kharaj Mukherjee and Manasi Sinha.

They will perform four Bengali plays written by Mukherjee.

Instead of using a regular stage-play format, the performers will mainly use their voices and narration.

Music, lights and a simple stage setup will support the stories.

The show will last about one hour.

It will take place on August 30 at Five Mad Men in Salt Lake.

Future editions may feature other Bengali performers.
