Pemmasani Lays Foundation for Health and Education Buildings
Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar started work on a new health centre in Pedanandipadu.
The centre will help people in nearby villages receive basic medical care closer to home.
It will also offer maternity services.
The project will cost about Rs 1.93 crore.
The old health centre had problems with its roof, slabs and saline water damage.
Pemmasani also started work on more classrooms at a Government Degree College for Women in Guntur.
That building will cost Rs 1.98 crore and will use corporate social responsibility funds.
The new classrooms are meant to improve facilities for women students.
Union Minister of State Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar laid the foundation stone for a new Primary Health Centre building in Pedanandipadu.
The PHC is being built under the 15th Finance Commission at an estimated cost of Rs 1.93 crore.
The facility will provide medical care, maternity services and primary healthcare to surrounding villages.
The earlier PHC building reportedly had construction defects and was affected by saline water.
Pemmasani also laid the foundation stone for a women’s college classroom building in Guntur, funded with Rs 1.98 crore from CSR funds.
