AAP Alleges Corruption in Delhi's Vidya Vahini Bicycle Scheme

In Delhi, the government gives free bicycles to girls in Class 9 through a program called 'Vidya Vahini'.

A political party called the Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, says something may be wrong with those bicycles.

AAP says the bicycles given to students are not as good as the ones promised in the official contract.

According to AAP leaders, the bicycles have plastic brake parts and loose wheels.

AAP also says the brand of bicycle written in the contract is no longer sold in stores.

Instead, students received bicycles of a different brand.

AAP thinks this is unfair and wants the Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, to look into it.

If the government does not act, AAP says it will complain to anti-corruption officials.
