EOW Raids MY Hospital Pharmacist Over Disproportionate Assets in Indore
Indore EOW Unearths Disproportionate Assets During Raid On MY Hospital Pharmacist · freepressjournal.in

A special police team that investigates money crimes went to check on a pharmacist at a big government hospital in Indore, India.

The pharmacist, Rakesh Gorkhe, was suspected of owning more things than his salary could pay for.

The police found that his house, land and other belongings were worth about ₹2.13 crore.

But his honest earnings from his job were only about ₹1.11 crore.

That means his belongings were worth 108% more than the money he officially earned.

The police think he may have cheated while handling government medicines at the hospital.

They found six properties in Indore, including a house and several plots of land.

They also found a record showing he paid ₹6.7 lakh to a building company for another plot.

The police took his passport, bank books and some cash, and they saw that he travelled to Thailand without getting permission.

The investigation is still going on.
