Punjabi Influencer Dies After Alleged Abduction and Arson Attack
Manjeet Kaur was a 28-year-old social media influencer from Punjab.
Her mother says two acquaintances called her to meet in Chandigarh on July 3.
The mother alleges that they took Kaur by car to Morinda.
She says Kaur was hurt, tied to a tree and set on fire.
A friend found Kaur and used a blanket to stop the flames.
Kaur was treated in hospitals in Morinda, Mohali and Chandigarh.
She briefly became conscious on August 5, according to her family, but later became more seriously ill.
She died at PGIMER on August 26.
