Man Arrested After Allegedly Setting Teenager Ablaze in Mohali
Police in Mohali arrested a man named Deepak after a 16-year-old girl was badly burned.
The girl said he pulled her into his house while she was going to her grandmother’s home.
Her grandmother and father later went looking for her.
The girl’s father and Deepak argued, and the father allegedly slapped him.
Later, a fight happened between the two families.
Police said Deepak followed the girl upstairs, poured a liquid on her and set her on fire.
Her father poured water on her and took her to a hospital.
She was later moved to PGIMER in Chandigarh because her burns were serious.
Police are continuing to investigate the case.
