Hasina accuses conspirators of turning Bangladesh into Pakistan again
A very long time ago, in 1975, a leader of Bangladesh named Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of his family.
People in Bangladesh remember this every year on August 15, which is called National Mourning Day.
Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister of Bangladesh, spoke about that day.
She said the people who killed her father had help from forces that supported Pakistan.
Bangladesh used to be part of Pakistan, and it became its own country in 1971.
Hasina believes some people now want to make Bangladesh like Pakistan again.
She said that since her party's government was removed after protests in July 2024, Bangladesh has become unsafe and chaotic.
She said supporters of her party, minorities, and women are living in constant fear.
She also said many poor people do not have enough food to eat.
Hasina promised to return to Bangladesh to continue the 'unfinished dream' of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Hasina alleged that military officers, with the direct and indirect support of pro-Pakistan forces, carried out the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She claimed that after the Awami League government was ousted following the July 2024 protests and 'massive bloodshed,' Bangladesh plunged into widespread anarchy and economic hardship.
Hasina pledged to return to Bangladesh to fulfill her responsibility and realise the 'unfinished dream' of the Father of the Nation.
