NCB Busts Suspected Cross-Border Heroin Network, Arresting Three in Jammu
Cross-Border Drug Cartel Busted In J&K, Heroin Worth Crores Seized · NDTV

The Narcotics Control Bureau says it found 5.160 kilograms of heroin in a vehicle in Jammu.

Two people from Baramulla were arrested at the scene.

Investigators then followed clues to another person they described as the suspected mastermind and supplier.

That person was arrested in Leh two days later.

The NCB suspects the drugs may have come from Pakistan through the Uri border area.

Officials believe the seizure could be part of a larger trafficking network.

They are investigating the money, suppliers, transporters and other people involved.

The operation followed two earlier heroin seizures in August.
